Before you can share users between offices using the Global User workflow, you’ll need to set up an inter-company agreement. This agreement grants permission for one office to “borrow” users from another.
How it works:
- Agreements are created in the lending office — the office that owns the users.
- For example, if Pronto New York is lending users to Pronto Chicago, the agreement is set up in Pronto New York.
- The thinking: “We give Pronto Chicago permission to use our users.”
- You must be a Pronto Operations user or part of the Pronto Support team to create an agreement.
How to set it up:
- Go to the Address Book
- Select the Offices tab
- Click Edit on the lending office
- Select the Inter-Company tab
Then:
- Choose the borrowing office from the dropdown
- Select the billing customer that will receive inter-company invoices
(Typically this matches the borrowing office’s billing customer) - Select the finance type — currently only Intercompany is available
- Click the + button to create the agreement
You’ll now see the new agreement listed under Approved Agencies.
