What is a Network in Pronto?
A Network is the top-level grouping of Offices in Pronto.
Every Office must belong to a single Network.
Note: Depending on your system settings, Network may also be labelled as Account.
What does the Network control?
Networks allow groups of Offices to operate independently with their own secure settings, permissions and workflows.
Offices within a Network can have:
-Their own Network Superusers (with full access to manage Offices, Users and Projects)
-Custom Timesheet Activities
-Tailored Project Default Settings
-Unique Security Rules
-Customised Workflow Settings
This structure is ideal for large organisations that need to manage multiple Offices while maintaining separation and control across regions, teams or business units.

Can Users in different Networks work together?
By default, Users and Offices in different Networks can’t see each other.
This creates a virtual firewall, ensuring complete separation for privacy, security and autonomy.
But collaboration is possible
If you need to collaborate across Networks, you can use the Global Worker system.
The Global Worker system allows you to create an Agreement between Offices, so you can share Users across Networks without breaking the security model.

Example: Using Networks in a Global Organisation
In a large global company, different divisions may operate with their own Offices and Users.
To give each division autonomy, you can set them up as separate Networks.
This allows each Network to:
-Manage its own Pronto settings
-Control its own Users, Projects, and Offices
-Assign its own Network Admins
By grouping Offices into Networks this way, each division stays self-contained with the flexibility to run independently while still using the same system.

How to create a new Network
Only a System Superuser can create or edit Networks in Pronto.
To create a new Network:
- Go to Address Book > Networks
- Click the Create Network button
- Enter the Network Name
- Click Save
Once created, the new Network will be available in Office settings, so you can group Offices into it as needed.
