Once you’ve set Project Access, the next step is to define what a user is allowed to do inside Pronto. This is controlled through User Permissions.
What are user permissions?
User Permissions define access to specific tools and actions.
There are over 100 permission options, covering nearly every feature in the system.
Here are some common examples:
- Create Projects – Yes / No
- Manage Projects – Yes / No
- Upload Files – Yes / No
- Create Tasks – Yes / No
- Manage Users – Yes / No
- Manage Finances – Yes / No
- View Finances – Yes / No
Permission Profiles
Rather than setting each permission manually, Pronto uses Permission Profiles — predefined sets of permissions you can assign to users.
This simplifies setup and ensures consistency across roles like:
- Project Manager
- General User
- Finance Admin
- Client Viewer
You can apply, modify, or duplicate profiles from the User Settings in the Address Book.
