Release Notes – Aug 2026

1. ALL REGIONS

FEATURES

Feature – Bulk Project Amendments – Project Details & Project Relations

We’ve expanded Bulk Amendments for Agresso projects. You can now bulk-update two new areas, Project Details (such as Contract Client, Invoice Rule, and Branch) and Project Relations, across many projects at once. We’ve also improved the existing Project Dates and Project Status amendments so you can change several fields in a single request instead of one at a time.

As before, a step-by-step wizard guides you through picking an office, choosing the fields to change, and selecting your projects (up to 250 at once), with built-in checks to keep everything consistent. Once you submit, changes run in the background, and you’ll get a tracking page and email updates so you can follow their progress and see details for anything that fails.

Feature – Commission & Mark Up

This update adds two new things to estimates: Agency Commission and Mark Up. You can turn each one on per office, and use one, both, or neither. When they’re on, you’ll see extra columns and totals on the estimate, and those values carry through to invoices, POs, PDFs and reports.

The highlights

  • Add commission to a line — set a percentage, and the total the client sees updates on its own.
  • Record expected costs — enter what a line should cost and see the mark-up (charge minus cost) in reports. This was actually an existing feature but the setting has moved to be an office setting to work in conjunction with commission.
  • One consistent look — the Grand Total and the PDF now use the same design for every office.
  • It flows everywhere — commission and costs carry through to invoices, POs, PO overspend, reports and Agresso.

New: Agency Commission

  • Set a Default Commission at the top of the estimate. It applies to new lines and updates existing ones when you change it.
  • You can override a single line without changing the others.
  • Allowed range is 0–100%, with up to 2 decimals (e.g. 20.5%).

Mark Up (Expected Costs)

  • Turn it on to get an Expected Costs column where you enter the expected cost of each line.
  • Mark Up shows in reports as Total (before commission) minus Expected Costs.

A few names changed

  • “Use IFRS Compliant Finance Documents” → Enable Costs and Markup (Office › Advanced)
  • “Project costs (Ex. VAT)” column → Expected Costs
  • “Total” → Total incl. Commission (when commission is on)

Enhacements

[#82543] Add generated PDF fallback previews for Office assets

Added a PDF preview fallback for Office files in Asset Detail. Previously, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel assets could show a “This document cannot be previewed” message when the standard Office preview (WOPI) was disabled, unsupported, slow, or failed to load. Now, when that happens, the system automatically generates a PDF version of the file so it can still be previewed in the browser. The usual Office preview is still used whenever it works, and previews for PDFs, images, videos, and other file types are unchanged. If a preview is still being prepared or can’t be generated, users see a clear status message and can always download the file.

FIXES

[#79470] Bug: Export Excel function in Timelines is unresponsive

Fixed an issue in the Timeline Tool’s Gantt View where exporting a timeline could fail on certain timelines. Previously, the Export to Excel option was unresponsive with no file download or error message, and the Export to MS Project option could cause the page to freeze. Both export options now work reliably, generating valid files without freezing the page, and any errors are surfaced to the user rather than failing silently.

[#80477] Handle input with type=”number” Locale Issues

Extended the fix for regional decimal formatting to cover numeric input fields across the app. As with text fields, entering a decimal with a comma instead of a period (e.g. “7,5” versus “7.5”) could previously cause values to be interpreted incorrectly. These fields now accept comma decimals correctly in areas including AI Evaluation settings, the Add Time modal, the Planner flyout and attributes, the Create Agreement modal, and the Project Wizard, so values are received and saved accurately regardless of regional format.

[#80593] Handle Numeric Inputs Using type is “text”

Fixed number formatting issues in text input fields caused by regional differences in how decimals are written (using a comma instead of a period, e.g. “7,5” versus “7.5”). Previously, entering a decimal value with a comma could cause the value to be saved or interpreted incorrectly. Fields across the app, including the User Form, Client Forms, Timesheet Admin, and the Project Progress widget, now handle comma decimals correctly so values are saved accurately regardless of regional format.

[#82920] Address Book > Office settings: Timesheet Requestor & Approver dropdown are not working

Fixed an issue in Office settings where the Timesheet Requestor and Timesheet Approver dropdowns on the Timesheet Amendments tab could not be opened. Previously, clicking these fields caused the dropdown to briefly appear and then immediately close. The dropdowns now open correctly and display their available results as expected.

[#82917] Finance Toolbar: modal-upload-file script could not treat correctly in production mode

Fixed an issue where the modal upload file script failed to download correctly in production mode. On the Finances tab, the script required for the upload modal was not being included with the finance toolbar, so it wasn’t available when needed. The script is now bundled correctly and loads as expected.

[#82893] Bug: Project Wizard: weird behaviour when toggle on/off Is Financial

Fixed an issue in the new Project Wizard related to the “Is Financial” toggle and agency selection. Previously, toggling “Is Financial” off could cause the selected agency to unexpectedly revert to a previous choice, and once turned off, the toggle couldn’t be switched back on. The agency selection now stays as chosen, and “Is Financial” can be toggled on and off reliably.

[#82855] Finances: Nothing happened when I clicked the Filter button in the Estimates page

Removed a non-functional Filter button on the Estimates page under the Finances tab. Previously, clicking this button did nothing and produced a JavaScript error in the console. The unused filter icon has now been removed to avoid confusion.

[#82754] Files tab – Error 500 upon creating new collection & adding file

Fixed an issue in the Project Files tab where adding a file to a newly created collection failed with an error. Previously, using “Add To Collection” to create a new collection would create the collection successfully, but the file would not be added and a 500 error was shown. Files are now added to new collections correctly, along with a confirmation message.

[#82577] Feature: Summary/Detail Finance Report: Unusually slow loading

Improved the loading performance of the Finance Summary and Finance Detail reports. Previously, these reports could take well over a minute to load their finance records, and the Project List was calling an incorrect API that added to the slowdown. Loading times have now been optimized so finance records display significantly faster.

[#82550] Bug: “Star This Task” icon disappears after clicking “Escalate Task” in Task Detail view

Fixed an issue in the Task Detail form where clicking the “Escalate Task” button caused the “Star This Task” icon to disappear. The Star icon now remains visible and fully functional before and after escalating a task, regardless of how the Task Detail view is opened.

[#82391] Project Task List: Doesn’t display red exclamation badge for overdue tasks

Fixed an issue where the red exclamation badge was missing from the Project Task List. Previously, tasks with an End Date in the past did not display the overdue warning badge in their End Date cell, even though it appeared correctly in the Tasklist widget on the Project Passport page. The badge now shows as expected, making overdue tasks easier to spot.

[#81607] Bug: Global Worker role ‘breaks’ adding a new role or office

Fixed several UI issues when adding Global Worker roles for Global Resource Pool users. Previously, adding a new office or role line would cause earlier dropdowns to become unclickable or hide their selected values, and adding multiple offices left all but the last dropdown unusable. These dropdowns now stay visible, clickable, and functional when adding multiple offices and roles.

[#81481] Invoicing: Queue entry not found

Improved how the invoice processing worker handles instructions where the associated queue record or XML payload is missing. Previously, when the worker encountered an invoice in this state, it treated the situation as a failure and logged an error, even though the job itself had run correctly. This is now handled gracefully so the worker completes successfully without raising unnecessary errors, reducing noise in the logs.

[#80762] Missing Project Manager in Projects Overview due to Job Builder

Fixed an issue where the Project Manager field was missing for some projects. Projects created through the Job Builder were not displaying their assigned Project Manager in the Project List or in the Excel export, even when a manager was correctly assigned. The Project Manager now appears as expected in both places, regardless of how the project was created.
